Sun Drying the Tough Kaong Meat

I wanted to see what happens if I sun dry these over matured or the tough  kaong meat. I immediately set it under the sun for moisture removal.

fresh over mature kaong meatAfter few hours, a discoloration was evident. The kaong surface was beginning to turn brown.

kaong meat browingAfter two days, the sizes were almost reduce to half. The color became translucent brown. I thought it was superficial but it goes thru the center. It became so hard that it could not be pressed in between fingers and could not be cut by teeth.
