Is this a product of a popular gadget maker, Samsung? It has the Samsung logo on the upper right corner. The circle shape and color, the spelling and font type are indeed similar to Samsung logo.
Maybe this product is just advertising Samsung brand. Just maybe, cause I can’t understand most fonts. Why would they venture to food manufacturing business?
It is a juice. My sister who gave me said so. Or an energy drink. Evident by words “red ginseng/pomegranate”.
It contains 70ml liquid giving 35 kilo calories. The engraved numbers on top was sure an expiry date. Cannot understand which month in 2012 though.
The package is made of code 7 plastic, the catch all category. Made from recycled materials but mostly polycarbonates or ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene- mixture of styrene, acrylonitrile and polybutadiene). The polycarbonate types has health issues due to bisphenol-A content. Code 7 or the “other” category is not generally recommended for food purposes due to its varying composition. It may have unknown effects on certain food types.
update as of June 19, 2016:
Low level BPA exposure is safe according to FDA. See “FDA Approved Number 7 Juice Bottle ?”
I googled and found the company, Samsung World Pharm Co Ltd which produces the red ginseng gold. A commercial product intended for nutrition and vigor recovery. I found no product similar to this one.
I’m quite confused I know Samsung excel in electronic equipment manufacture. I trust their mobile phones, monitors and other visual components. But not sure about foods and supplements! I think I need to do more digging.
I have never opened and tasted the product yet. Wish someone could tell me what the back label is saying. It might be preparation instruction, warning or contraindication. Who knows?
