I was on a hurry going home. All I did was to get some photos. I never bought and never even got few information.
It is a turmeric salted egg in short, the long version is “All Natural Free Range Golden Egg – Turmeric Herbal Salted Egg”.
Eggs look bigger than regular red salted eggs. Differences in size is noticeable which might prove it really came from backyard raised ducks.
I am wondering where the luyang dilaw came into play. Maybe it was added to salt solution / mud mixture before soaking the eggs, to give sufficient time for flavor penetration and pigment adhering to egg shell.
It was manufactured by: JBM Food Products, Magdalena, Cabatuan, Isabela. Perhaps they also manufactures salt. Notice the sea salt canisters on the background.
I think I should try making my own to find out how it taste. Isabela is too far from my home.
