How to Make Tawa Tawa Tea for Dengue Treatment

I just heard the news from GMA 7 that tawa tawa weed can cure dengue fever and it was scientifically proven.

Tawa tawa herb looks like this.

I want that herb cause we have a three months old baby. This illness is very dangerous and can take lives if not treated immediately. I gonna find this herb soon and plant it in our garden.

According to my internet browser, this is how to make tawa tawa tea for dengue treatment.

Tea Making Procedures
•Take 5 to 6 full whole Tawa Tawa plants
•Cut off the roots
•Wash and clean
•Fill a boiling pot with clean water
•Boil the Tawa Tawa for one minute in a slow rolling boil
•Cool
•Let the dengue fever victim drink only the Tawa Tawa water for 24 hours
•Sip 1 to 1.5 glasses of Tawa Tawa water every hour

The internal hemorrhaging will stop and the dengue fever will be cured within 24 hours.

I better hurry. I want to evaluate the tea myself. I want to make it more drinkable if it tastes bad. Babies don’t want bad tasting stuff.

A day after I went outside my mother’s front yard and saw this plant. Finding this plant was an easy task.

tawa tawa on garden

I prepared a glass of tawa tawa tea just to know what it taste like.

preparing tawa tawa leaves

It has a little sweet and grassy taste. A little of muscovado sugar will make it more pleasant. It tastes better than sambong tea.

The Department of Health reported that tawa tawa might increase blood platelet count but they still need further studies.

Tawa-tawa contains active ingredients that may help dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) patients – study

Tawa-tawa (Euphorbia hirta), also known as “gatas-gatas,” is a hairy herb grown in open grasslands, roadsides and pathways. This indigenous plant is considered as one of the most popular folkloric treatment for dengue in the Philippines.

Intent on finding out the truth behind tawa-tawa’s curative properties, students of the University of Sto Tomas (UST) – Faculty of Pharmacy conducted a study entitled “Investigation of the anti-thrombocytopenic property of euphorbia hirta linn (Tawa-Tawa) decoction in rat models. The study aimedtoverify the effects of tawa-tawa decoction to a dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) patient showing a symptom of thrombocytopenia (low platelet count due to excessive bleeding).

In the study, the students used chloramphenicol, ethanol and heparin to induce thrombocytopenia on rat models, mimicking dengue hemorrhagic fever. They administered tawa-tawa decoction to the sample groups and collected blood samples to check for platelet count, bleeding time (duration of bleeding), and blood clotting times in several stages of the experiment.

Results showed that platelet count increased by 47% depending on the drug used to induce thrombocytopenia. Bleeding time was reduced up to 62% while blood clotting time decreased to 58% compared to the control groups.

Based on the results, students concluded that administering tawa-tawa decoction to animal models help improve their healing mechanism. Tawa-tawa was able to promote cell production, and prevents platelet destruction. Likewise, the improvement in the cell bleeding time and clotting time provided evidence that the indigenous plant can preserve and promote the hemostatic function of platelets.

The students also discovered phenolic compounds in tawa-tawa, active ingredients suspected to be responsible in the increased platelet counts of tested animals. In an interview, Mr. Ryan Justin Raynes, one of the student researchers saidthat through a phenolic determination assay, they were able to identify ‘minute’ phenolic compound in tawa-tawa samples. “Although there were small amount of phenolic compound in tawa-tawa, this was sufficient to exert effect promoting quality and quantity of platelets,” Mr. Raynes said.

Because of the study’s significant findings, it won the first prize in the PCHRD – Gruppo Medica Award held during the 6th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week held at Sofitel Manila last 10 August 2012. PCHRD – Gruppo Medica Award is given to undergraduate students engaged in herbal medicine research that have potential for practical or commercial applications.

    • Thanks for sharing my friend!

  • Hi! God is Good for creating TawaTawa! A New Zealander friend had fever starting July 25, 2013 -Thursday. She was worsening and was admitted to one of the premier hospitals in Metro Manila on July 30 ,Tuesday dawn. Blood tests were taken every 12 hours and her platelet count was low. She had Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever II. Dextrose was administered, no medicine given and blood tests were ran every 12 hours. Starting Tuesday night (July 30), I was her full time watcher, platelet count was around 110,000 then after another blood test, it became more or less 102,000, then on the next blood test it stil went further down to around 92,000. I was already much alarmed and so (without the doctor’s knowledge) I had her drink 1 glass of home-made tawatawa tea at 10 am then another glass at 1pm because her next blood test was at 5pm, July 31, Wednesday. The result of the 5pm blood test was her platelet count rose to 106,000. I let her drink another glass in the evening. The next day-Aug 1 Thursday- 5AM blood test showed 128,000. The entire day of Aug 1, I had her drink a total of 4 glasses of tawatawa(1 glass at 10am, 1pm, 5pm, 8pm) and of course 1 glass of purified water alternately since increase fluid intake was prescribed. Her next blood test on Aug 2 (Friday) 5AM showed a normal platelet count of 208,000 and she was discharged 11AM on the same day. In summary, she had Dengue fever for 5days then was admitted to the hospital for only 3 and a half days with the help of tawatawa…. Thanks to tawatawa, nutritious food, proper rest and increase fluid intake. Thanks be to God for creating TawaTawa… God is worthy of all praise, thanksgiving and obedience to His Commanments! =)

My grandmother visited him last Sept. 9 where she brought some extracted tawa tawa. She went to the mountain in Laguna near their place to pick the herbal plant and cook. She travelled from Laguna to Quezon City in the midnight for his grandson, thanks to you mama Inday. My kuya is 10 years old and he is able to drink 1 glass of the herbal tea. The following day Sept 11 , his platelet increased from 50 to 126 and now Sept. 12 , his platelet is 156. He is now safe.

    • I was once told by my cousin, a doctor in Manila Sanitarium hospital that capsules and tea are available in the market. I’ll get back to you as soon as I find the store selling them.

    • Was told that Tawatawa capsule is available in Quiapo area. If you have any relatives nearby Manila, better ask them. I am in Bataan area unfortunately.

  • my 8 month old daughter has dengue now. today is her 4th day of fever. we gave her tawa tawa today but added sugar. she wont drink it if its not sweetened.. will the tawa tawa still work. i hope you can immediately reply because it is driving me crazy. i feel so helpless.

    • I know the feelings. I wish someone else who have had experience about sweetened tawa-tawa could reply to you first hand. But, sweetened tawa-tawa compared to nothing at all is still better in my own opinion. I hope and pray she recovers. God bless.

  • Thanks to websites like this. My 19 year old son suffered from Dengue for 5 days before I found a cure. I’ve searched the internet for “Dengue cure” and this website came up also. His platelet count was steadily going down. As soon as I’ve read about this, I immediately boiled and prepared 3 liters of tawa tawa. My son was at the time confined in a hospial and we were very much worried because we knew for a fact that this dengue is a killer. It was 3.5 hours before his scheduled time of platelet lab test that I made my son took few glasses before the lab test. I was amazed and thanked the good Lord that my son’s platelet finally rose up. It was a sudden change from the 5 days it’s been steadily going down. His fever subsided in 24 hours and 48 hours from the time he started drinking tawa tawa juice, he was made to check out from hospital confinement. God is good. For a killer dengue virus, he spread this common herb cure that can easily be found almost everywhere.

    • Tama ka sa komento mo…mga mukhang pera kasi mga doctor. pag wla ka pera pampagamot, babalewalain ka nila

  • Thank you for this post. As a last resort, you can buy dried tawa tawa are available at Quiapo where you buy herbal medicine. However, it really just grows everywhere. You have to be patient to find huge areas that are growing weeds. In our case we sometimes find them in the island in the middle of recto and often in residential compounds in quezon city where there are untended grassy patches outside the houses. Its hard to plant in your backyard though, its resilient but hard to domesticate and make sure you get the right herb. Try to choose more mature plants to harvest, don’t pull the young plants, somebody else may need them in the future.

In our preparation, we include the roots, wash the plant and cut the plant into 3 inches long pieces before boiling. The dagta inside the stems are where the medicinal properties come from and cutting makes it easier to disperse in the boiling water.

It will taste gross if it is not washed well. Usually it tastes sweet like corn with a little light bitter taste but tolerable. I’ve seen dozens of people get well. But we never discourage hospitalization.

Also don’t drink it while hot. So that the temperature will not cause more internal bleeding by burning.

Thanks to God!

  • Hi Melody,

From which area are you? Tawa Tawa usually grows near makahiya plant/weed. Look for grassy places in your area, it grows abundantly. Hope the photo of Tawa Tawa helps you identify the plant easily

  • I just want to know where to buy that plant mostr of the kids here on my neighborhood is in danger.

    • You just need to get some tawa-tawa plants….

  • tawa tawa is good, but CHLORELLA SOROKINIAN(cryptomonadales)IS BETTER, A WELL RESEARCH PRODUCT CONDUCTED BY THE NATIONAL HEALTH RESEARCH INSTITUTE AND TESTED BY INDONISIAN RESEARCHERS AS CURE FOR DENGUE. IF YOU WANT THIS PRODUCT JUST EMAIL TO bal_bantilan@ yahoo.com ot txt to 0909-672-4976…

    • THAT SOUNDS GOOD BECAUSE IN INDONESIA THEY CONDUCTED MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND MADE FINDINGS… UNLIKE TAWA-TAWA IN THE PHILIPPINES, THERE IS NO FACTUAL AND SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS BEING PUBLISHED BY OUR AUTHORITY, RATHER, ITS MORE ON ACTUAL EXPERIENCE, WHICH SOME MAY FEEL HESITANT TO USE TAWA-TAWA… THAT’S WHY U CONCLUDED THAT CHLORELLA IS BETTER THAN TAWA-TAWA…

  • those vendors under the overpass of commonwealth is selling tawa tawa, I got mine when I do networking in montalban and I brought it home ,planted it flower pots, this week I help 2 neighbors who has dengue, and thank God those children was healed, sorry nakalbo ang tawatawa ko. pero I still have more seedlings got it from Quezon city circle doon sa parking lot last monday marami pa doon kaya lang malilit pa.

  • Yes,we have been using tawa tawa for two years. It saved the lives of my niece and my nephew last year who almost died of dengue. Actually, in our community, anyone who is inflicted with dengue gets to drink tawatawa until he gets better. I highly recommend this. If you are looking for some, you can find lots of it on the grassy land going to Mall of Asia or near Cultural Center of the Philippines. That’s where we always get our bunch of tawatawa.

    • Thanks for the info…really a big help for all!

  • A son of dear friends of ours had dengue for almost a week now. His platelet went below 100. So we asked him to drink tawa-tawa. He drank about 1 pitcher of tawa-tawa tea, and religiously drank the whole night. The next day he was discharged from the hospital. Bumalik na sa normal platelet level nya. So to DOH and the medical practitioners in our country, how can you dispense with these positive results? Bilis-bilisan nyo na ang ‘further studies’ nyo. Ilang taon na naming narinig yan sa nyo?

    • Who knows? It is possible (DOH) someone there is conniving with a pharmaceutical company which is now making a drug made up of tawatawa but will claim made from other ingredients. It’s a big business out there. Not millions but billions. Anyone would buy an expensive drug for as long as it would save lives.

  • “sore eyes” sorry typo error

  • i remember when i was a child that we used tawa-tawa milk to cure our sure eyes after an hour it’s cured. Amazing then it can cure dengue.. I suggest also to study baho-baho plants, this is our emergency medicine when we have diarhea, severe stomache ache, etc. It too much effective.

Nid kz namin mlaman..yung baby nmin one years old me dengue

    • I am sorry! My place is too far from Quiapo to confirm your inquiry. Please compare it to picture provided. Choose fresh herb as much as possible to avoid fakes.

It is still best to bring her to hospital together with the tawa tawa medication.

    • Try to have some trip going to Laguna or cavite area, just to make sure you can find tawa-tawa for your baby.

  • We have a lot of these herbs growing in our garden. My mother used to extract its juice to use as eyedrops for sore eyes when my sister had one. it cured her in 2 days. I’m sure this is helpful in some others diseases. It would be nice if this will not be so commercialized so it could help a lot of people especially the indigents. Anyone who need help on this, i would be very glad to give you the plant. It comes now in tablet and capsule forms but i still believe in the natural one.

  • proven and tested by me a few years ago, I was cured by tawa tawa and i recommend it to anyone…there might be people in our government who strongly disagree with these but guys…even in scientific research there’s no specific cure of dengue that’s what i have read even here in the net….it’s bcoz they don’t aknowlegde tawa2x…it’s just around the corner all you have to do is boil, let it cool and drink it like water, You don’t need to spend. people in our government runs business…nobody will spend for a medicine if they all people would know tawa2x could really cure dengue…right????

  • That is true about tawa tawa can cure a dengue victim… Good herbal medicine…

    • Thanks Doc for the confirmation!

    • Thanks for the comment Dr. James Earl…it would be a great help for all esp. like us dont have a lot of money.

    • can you help me to ??
where to find euphorbia hirta (tawa tawa plant)

      • it can be found in any grassy places…

  • i am hoping for your immediate response, thank you so much.. :D

    • The probability that it can be found in your place is high. Better start searching for it before starting your research. It usually exist in small patches together with other grasses.

In case you never found any, you can look for other places. It can be grown through cuttings or separating plant with roots.

  • could it be found here in Quezon province ? actually here in Lopez. I just want to add some research with this plant regarding on increasing platelets..

    thanks.. :)

    • Yes for sure you have tawa-tawa somewhere in grassy places near you…

  • Do not add sugar. When your white blood cells count is high, your immune system is at work protecting you from foreign invaders. These foreign invaders or bacteria feeds on sugar so do not feed your enemy. Given the marvel of tawa-tawa you can take it for your regular tea to boost your immune system and blood toner. You can have it as salad too!

You can find it anywhere, just be careful and make sure that the area where you gather your tawa-tawa is free from pesticides or any chemicals you sometimes dump on your backyard to avoid ingesting this harmful substances.

    • thanks!

    • Thanks for your suggestions…it was so helpful

  • Just agree to the end user… i also believe on natural herbal remedy for curing some illments.

  • tawa-tawa thrives in rocky or sandy soil among the grass and can be found just anywhere. there are 2 types — the one with red stalk and green stalk. two of my friends (adults) survived dengue after drinking boiled tawa-tawa. the other one was already confined in the hospital when he drunk this and his doctor was surprised that afterward his platelet slowly went up to normal after it dropped to a dangerous level.

    • @cynthia – I am very happy for your two friends!

  • I’m diganosed to have hemorrhoids and colon diverticulosis and had been bleeding (both fresh blood and also found in the stool) for two weeks now. Drunk several medicine from my gastro doctor but bleeding did not stop. As i’m writing today, its my 2nd day of drinking tawa tawa and first time also that I found no fresh blood in my stool although my stool still looked very dark, probably, because of the blood. No exaggeration but I felt better and stronger after drinking tawa tawa. I’m drinking it 1.5glass on a per hour basis.

    • @yeh – I’ll pray for your fast recovery! Get well soon.

  • Tawa tawa is the best medicine to cure dengue, but DOH will not agree that because of some???? interest. My daugther just survive of dengue her platelet down to 29, because of tawa2 her platelet immediately back to normal upon drinking several glass of tawa tawa tea.

  • IN SRILANKA THIS PLANT CALLED KAPUNKEERIYA ??

    • I am very glad to know that this plant also exists in other countries!

  • Another effective herbal plant that is widely known for its fine properties as an aid in the healing process of a dengue fever victim is the Tawa-Tawa plant known in English as Asthma Weed with scientific name Euphorbia hirta Linn.

A few research shows that it can help increase a person’s blood platelet count.

You can buy tawa-tawain capsule form at http://rubygoldaid.com/?page_id=3&category=3

  • Thanks Marvin for the information. I HAVE ORDERED THE CAPSULES FROM THE COMPANIES RECOMMENDED BY YOU.
CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT PHILIPPINE DEPT. OF HEALTH THINKS ABOUT TAWA-TAWA HERB USEFULNESS IN INCREASING THE PLATETEL COUNT?
IS THERE ANY DOCUMENTATION OR NEWS PUBLISHED ON THIS TOPIC FROM DEPT. OF HEALTH.
    THANKS
    CHAMAN

    • Department of Health is discouraging the use of tawa tawa, they want a long series of studies as a proof of its effectiveness. I don’t think they gonna do any studies about it.

  • CAN YOU GIVE ME THE ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER OF THE PHARMA WHO IS MAKING CAPSULES OF TAWA-TAWA HERB. IS THIS COMPANY HAS A BRANCH IN USA?

  • attn; amos
can you give me tha address and phone of magson herbal products who are manufacturing TAWA-TAWA TEA.
do this company has a branch in USA?

  • I am a living proof to the effectiveness of tawa-tawa. My son & I both suffered from dengue and were roommates in the hospital. I let my son drink much of the tawa-tawa tea coz I want him to recover soon while I did not drink it as a sort of experiment on who among us will get cured first. My son’s platelet immediately rose up and was out of the hospital ahead of me while mine kept on decreasing until the doctor advised me to have a standby blood donor. Immediately, I took the tawa-tawa tea and hurrah! my platelets started increasing and i was spared from the blood transfusion.

  • Good news! Euphorbia Hirta (Tawa-tawa) is now available in capsule form. There is no need to look for the plant and boil. The capsule is pure tawa-tawa powder extract that is taken from farm grown tawa-tawa. Manufactured by a pharma company. My friend developed it. If you need tawa-tawa capsules contact 09228118586.

    • Wow! Good news for real! Hope they can provide a naturally dried herb for sale.

    • mam paano mo maka bili ng tawa tawa capsule,, dto po kc ako manila ehh??? at magkano nmn ang 30 pieses po??

  • I agree that tawa-tawa can cure the dengue. At gaya ng sinabi ng isang comment dito, government wont promote this or even pursue the study just to PROTECT the investment of those BIG Pharma companies. Remember A1H1 virus? binugbog sa media ang pananakot na delekado ang virus na ito. It DOH best advise is to wash your hands with “the white sexy soap” while singing the hapy bday. Hell, the P&G obviously just paid DOH to promote the SOAP (Safeguard). may mas bibisa ba sa 70% isopropyl alcohol na accessible khit saan khit wlang tubig?
tsaka lang pinromote ng DOH nun nagbayad na ang ibang isopropyl alc. i read some books about natural cures and how the government protected the big Pharma companies. If u want a copy of some buks, just pm me.. =)

  • We are in the Philippines, and lots of people here have already attested the effectivity of Tawa tawa as an alternative cure for Dengue patients. We are currently having this epidemic crisis of dengue… having not reach yet it’s peak. Why until now there was no study made from the DOH about how this plant affects the platelet count on dengue patients when this has been used for many decades already…. HOW LONG WILL THEY BE ABLE TO OBTAIN RESULTS IF STUDIES HAS BEEN STARTED? For sure, this virus will not stop unless you kill all the mosquitos around the philippines. Yes, erradicating the breeding grounds of this mosquitos helps a lot, but certainly not a 100% solution. Come a time, babalik at babalik din and pagdami ng lamok with dengue virus. So a study on this plant is very much worth to be given attention by the DOH. The herb is very much abundant here in the Philippines, kahit sa bakuran niyo, you will see it sprouting out of nowhere… like weeds. God gives us cure available for us to use…

  • lahat ng klase ng sakit merong lunas. binigay sa atin ng mahal na Panginoong Diyos ang kalikasan sa Kanya walang imposible..

    • @michael: yap.. that’s true, just believe in GOD

    • Thnx be to GOD

  • i have available dried tawa-tawa in teabags (tawa-tawa tea) which was used when my niece had dengue, you can add this teabag in the DOH approved home made ORESOL the 1-8-1 formula

  • I will attest to the effectiveness of Tawa-tawa to cure dengue. My daughter(3yr old) had a high fever last 9/10 and due to our place was a dengue hot spot, her pedia advised that she be tested for dengue. The result was she’s positive of dengue. She wasn’t admitted in the hospital but had her blood tested everyday and, everyday her platelet count drops though the # is not significant to cause an alarm(as per her Pedia). But, as a parent I wasn’t really uneasy esp, that every now and then she will have fever.Since she’s not improving for the last 3days, I decided to give her tawa-tawa(the redish/green one). The day after I gave her tawa-tawa her platelet jumped from 200 to 239.
    Here’s how I prepared it:
1.0 7 pieces full plants, removed the roots and washed/clean the plants.
2.0 Put the plants in the pot and add 2liters of water.
    3.0 Slow boil.
    4.0 Let it cool.
5.0 The taste is really not bad but since she’s a 3yr old, anything with color and doesn’t tastes like juice for sure she won’t drink it.So I put Ice tea mix and she drinks it every hour w/o any problem.

    • ang pinaka-best is to blend the washed plants put a little water then drink the juice i’ved tried it with my 2 grand daughters. They were cured in just 3 days thanks to God for providing the plants.

      • ang galing!!!!

  • For details about Tawa-tawa, please visit http://www.stuartxchange.org/GatasGatas.html

  • pag xure uroy!!!!

  • The leaves or so-called “kamote tops” are a good source of vitamins A, B and C, iron, calcium and phosphorus. The tubers (roots) are high in carbohydrates and are mainly starch. Kamote tops are very often eaten as local salad. Wash the vegetable well before eating. It can be eaten raw or just immerse in boiling water quickly and drain; mix it with tomatoes and onions with little soy sauce and lemon juice (kalamansi”

Here are just a few of the diseases it can help: heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, bowel problems, irritable bowel syndrome, various cancers of the bowel (mouth, stomach, and colon cancers), kidney stones, and many more. Eating vegetables can also fight obesity. Vegetables are excellent filler foods because they’re low in fat, low in calories, and high in fiber. As you can see from our list, steamed or sauteed vegetables with garlic, tomatoes, and onions are very healthy indeed.”

  • there is some herbal medicine, that can cure dengue that we face here in our country, the camote topps.Camote topps or sweet potato greens are always available every where. It is easily grown and does not require special maintenance or fertilizers to grow. The root crops are edible and are good substitute to rice.the platelet count of the victim plunges down to a dangerous and critical level that becomes fatal.so!thats why not try it !!

  • why do doctors denies the effectiveness of tawa-tawa as a cure for dengue???

    • for the love of money.. MONEY WAR,,

  • GMA7 just reported: DOH said refrain from using alternative medicine such as Tawa tawa. They empasized that this herb is a diuretic and patient may suffer form dehydration.

For the love of money: government and doctors will never recommend natural medicines.

  • Tawa-tawa is just everywhere in our place. I thought it is just a useless grass growing on our backyard. But it is a super herbal medicine that can save lives. Thank God for this plant.

  • though most doctors will look for evidence based studies about this plant we cannot totally prevent people from using it
since this is an herb,it should undergo more studies among my concern are
are there any toxic alkaloids found in the plant?which can do more harm in the long run
see to it that you get tawa tawa from clean sources, away from polluted areas or near beer houses where men urinate in it

  • if you want tawa tawa just go here in general santos city i will look it for u. here is my number 09263720439

  • this is true…i have known people who had dengue and was cured by this herb.. this is just a wild plant but this is very effective for dengue patients…

  • Here in mindanao, specifically Oroquieta City, people here have been using tawa tawa whenever there’s dengue. I was surprised when I heard the news that DOH is considering using it. The people here also gives the patient lots of quail eggs. It’s also said to increase platelet count fast.

  • there seems to be different varieties/kinds of this tawatawa shrub; ones with reddish stem, others green, tawatawa is also same as the jatropha in some places. so which one(s) is/are the correct/right cure for the dengue. maybe a photo of all the applicable types can be posted here for everyone’s guidance.
    thank you.

  • my nephew is now confined in the hospital in Pasay due to dengue. may i ask if somebody can give us tawa tawa plants?

  • I’m a dengue survivor and i agree and approved by this plant laugh-laugh the taste is gross but good for increasing the blood platelet…

    • Natural medicines are really effective. I am glad that you won the fight against dengue

  • Tawa tawa is the best herbal cure for dengue and other platelet reduce problems…. the government will never promote or even try to learn the full potential of this plant because of big pharmaceutical company to protect their investments…

    • I agree with you. Business is business and loosing peoples’ lives is just a part of their business.

      • right and i believe that tawa tawa is the best medicine for dengue :D

        • tama

        • but sana pondohan ng goverment ang more research sa tawa tawa para naman safe dba but imbes na ganun dinidisapoint nila ang mahihirap na taong bayan para sa pera haizt pilipino talaga

    • yes i knem this plant way back when i was a kid …. there are plenty of thi in ILOILO, and it can even cure eye problems, coz the “dagta” – white in color – can be used as well to cure eye deseases.

    • my nephew got dengue in 2006. admitted at infant jesus for 3 days. my mom brought with her tawa-tawa she asked from a monastery in our city. the doctor said my nephew was the fastest recovering patient! they were privy that he kept drinking tawa-tawa from day one. he was back on his feet after 3 days without any trace of dengue.

with no cure in sight, i’d always recommend tawa-tawa alongside hospital treatment.

      • I agree that tawa tawa leaves can cure dengue, we have to look back the time of our grandparents they don’t have medicine at that time they just only used roots, barks and leaves of a certain trees that they know they could cure their illnesses, so they have long life, WE ARE NOW GOING BACK TO OUR OLD TRADITION USING HERBS IN A NATURAL WAY, THANK GOD FOR THESE WONDERFUL CREATION.

        • i agree to all the comments on tawa tawa, but because of taxation even in the US, the herbal supplements act is block by the US congress AND SENATE to protect the interest of the government on taxation of giant manufacturer of drugs, and that is why even our medical practitioner here in the Philippines questioning that Herbal products has a claim that it can cure but there is a NO APPROVED THERAPEUTIC CLAIMS POSTED ON THE BOX OR BOTTLE.

  • The name “Tawa Tawa “sounds funny. To cure the dengue fever, it seems the easiest solution. The procedure is also very simple. So, why not try this to get cured from such a dangerous disease.
