The Discoloration and Double Print Label Defects

I can only afford a minimum order printing from a medium scale printing press. Good thing it caters to micro-entrepreneur like me. The cost of each plastic coated label is approximately 2.50 pesos. Label with the size of 6 x 7.5 inches.

Seeing some defective labels hurts. A loss of 2.50 per label.

If I am going to use this one, buyer might think that the product is over five years of age. The product was left under the sun for long period. Or the product is not delectable cause of the faded colors. The two labels behind have the real colors.

Are you interested in reading the label below? Probably not! If your not interested in reading it, perhaps you won’t buy it either. All texts and images were printed twice. Looking at the illustrations and reading the texts causes dizziness.

I am not familiar with printing mechanics so I never know the causes of those defects. Anyone who has knowledge please explain! Please add some tips to avoid such! Thanks!

  • If a copmpany is printing for you, then they should not be charging you for the misprints. If you are doing it yourself, then it looks like the printer did not do second color on the top example, and the label was moved by printer before second color was applied. Since you are not doing the printing, it is fault of the company and they should not be charging you for the misprints. That is my opinion based on my knowledge and experience dealing with offset printing. I hope this helps you.
