Fried Rice (Chao Fan?) with Fish Flakes and Red Tomatoes

Eating bahaw (leftover rice) can be boring, especially if partnered with a leftover fried fish. Such boring stuff can be remedied by converting it to a different dish like fried rice, a home made chao fan.

2 cups leftover rice, bahaw
1 clove garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup fried fish, flaked
1 red ripe tomato, cubed
salt and vetsin (monosodium glutamate) to taste
cooking oil

1) Fry onion and garlic over a low fire until golden brown. This may take five to ten minutes.
2) Add the flake fish and rice. Continue heating and stirring for 10 minutes.
3) Add salt and MSG to taste.
4) Remove from heat and mix the ripe tomatoes.

Fried rice is a versatile food. Feel free to experiment with any ingredients available in your fridge.
