How To Make Java Rice

I ask my wife to make her traditional sinangag more sosyal. I ask her to cook a java rice. The following procedure and images were result of her hard work.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon annatto seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric, luyang dilaw, chopped
3 tablespoon star margarine
2 teaspoons garlic chopped
1 teaspoon onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 cups newly cooked rice, could be an old cooked rice

Procedure:

1) Soak and mix annatto seeds in small amount of hot water until enough color has diffused. Save the extract and discard the seeds.

2) Melt margarine in a frying pan. Saute all the ingredients except rice and annatto extract.

3) Add rice followed by annatto extract. Mix until the flavor is well distributed.

4) Serve!
