Speeding Up The Guyabano Tea Preparation Time

I have not recorded any definite time frame but the following have effects on guyabano tea preparation times.

1) Folding the leaves. Placing in mug with recently boiled water. Covering. Then letting stand for few minutes.

2) Cutting the leaves into small pieces. Placing in mug with recently boiled water. Covering. Then letting stand for few minutes.

3) Cutting the leaves into small pieces. Crashing it with appropriate tool. Placing in mug with recently boiled water. Covering and letting it stand for much lesser minutes.

A whole flat leaf has already wide surface area that allows rapid destruction of tissues and diffusion of its components to recently boiled water. However, it needs about five minutes or more of waiting to see water color change. Cutting the leaves to small pieces further increase the surface area and destroys some cells thus making the tea preparation quicker. Macerating the leaf slices destroys numerous amount of cells and makes the preparation time the quickest.
