Chopsuey with Veggie Meat

Chopuey is a nutritious food. One of my favorite viand. It taste nice specially if added with pork or chicken liver. However, my hubby is suffering gout pain everytime he eat to much of those.  I am occasionally using veggie meat as healthier meat alternative. The resulting dish is not as tasty as with real meat and is also not as sinful.

Here are the ingredients and cooking instructions for Chopsuey with Veggie Meat.

Ingredients.

veggie meat of choice
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup carrot, sliced to sticks
1 cup cabbage, chopped
2 pcs bell pepper, sliced
1 cup chayote, cubed
1 cup baguio beans, cut
2 pcs onion, cubed
3 cloves, garlic, minced
fish sauce and pepper to taste
flour dissolved in water

Cooking Instructions

In a pan, saute minced garlic, onion cubes and veggie meat in oil over medium heat until slightly brown. Add all vegetables and mix thoroughly. Boil for 15 to 20 minutes. Add fish sauce and pepper to taste. Mix the dissolved flour in water and simmer for three minutes. Serve while still hot.

Gluten Steak

Ingredients

1/2 kilo gluten steak (veggie meat)
2 tbsp calamansi
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 onion, sliced
cracked pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

Fry gluten lightly. Set aside.

Saute onion, minced garlic and  veggie meat. Add soy sauce and calamansi. Simmer for three minutes. Removed from fire. Arrange in platter nicely. Garnish with  onion rings. Ready to serve. Make five servings.
